Hi, I'm Jaein.
I built PocketPilot.
I'm a high school student interested in computer science and financial education. Personal finance is often introduced through abstract rules, so I wanted to build something that lets teenagers learn by changing real numbers and immediately seeing the result. PocketPilot is my attempt to make budgeting feel less intimidating and help students build confidence before they begin making larger financial decisions on their own.
PocketPilot connects a clear view of the current month with a forward-looking goal forecast. The first feature explains what is happening now; the second shows how today's choices can shape what happens next.
Choose a goal and split the available monthly amount between savings and investments. PocketPilot projects the balance month by month, applies simple or compound returns, and compares how risk assumptions change the estimated timeline.
PocketPilot combines a prepared financial-coaching prompt with a structured summary of the user's income, spending, saving capacity, goal, and investment risk. It sends this information to the ChatGPT API and returns a personalized explanation with one practical next step.
PocketPilot is still growing.
If you have an idea for a useful feature, notice something that could work better, or simply want to share your experience, feel free to contact me. Thoughtful feedback helps me make PocketPilot more useful for students learning to manage money.
